Andreas Scheel, Dipl.-Kfm. (MBA), studied International Management at ESCE, Paris and Berlin School of Economics and Law. From 2011 to 2014, he served as Project Manager for the setup of the Carl Benz Academy in Peking, Los Angeles, and Berlin; at the same time, he worked as General Management (MBA) Programme Coordinator at the Berlin University for Professional Studies. From 2014 until 2020, Andreas Scheel worked as a Research Assistant at the Chair of Innovation Management at Freie Universität Berlin. Besides his teaching activities in the Information Systems' Master Programme (e.g., "Strategic Innovation and Technology Management") and the MA programme course "Futures Studies", Andreas worked with the BMBF (German Ministry of Education and Research) funded Consortium "Advanced-UV for Life" involved in the conception and the setting up of a "Product and Idea Laboratory". His research interests, which he is also pursuing in his PhD project at the London South Bank University, are particularly linked to Strategic Management, Innovation Management and Social Media. In 2020, he started a University Spinoff named IdeaLab.Systems. In his position as CEO and Founder of this startup, he and his team are developing and launching AI-based support systems for (digital) innovation and creativity processes. Andreas always tries to combine theory and practice by transferring cutting-edge knowledge from his research activities to teaching and vice versa. Due to his broad teaching experience over the past fifteen years, Andreas got acquainted with up-to-date lecturing tools such as virtual realities, gamification approaches, and AI-based ideation techniques. The variety of his lectures in international collaborations, with institutions from the US, Great Britain, and China, lasts from marketing courses (e.g., "Berlin Valley – An Introduction to Global Startup Marketing") and Leadership Competencies (also in corporate teaching schemes) to sustainability-driven lectures such as "The Circular Economy" or "Green Business" where he combines ethical foundations with a strategic business perspective and foresight techniques.
