Gernot Weckherlin studied architecture in Munich, London and Briey en Forêt and is a chartered architect in Berlin since 2002. He has taught architectural history and theory at Bauhaus-University Weimar, UdK Berlin, Beuth-Hochschule Berlin and Bauhaus Foundation Dessau/ University of Applied Sciences Anhalt and writes for various architectural magazines including Architektenblatt, Bauwelt, Deutsche Bauzeitung. He is a founder member of Netzwerk Architekturwissenschaft, an interdisciplinary research group for architectural studies, member of the German Studies Association (GSA), and of the DAAD Alumni-Network. From 2015 to 2019 he was Visiting Prof. for Theory of Architecture at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus. Currently he is teaching as Visiting Prof. for Theory of Architecture at the University of Applied Sciences Anhalt Dessau.
