From early on, Nikolai was fascinated by international exchange. His Bachelor's degree in International Emergency and Disaster Relief in Berlin and his first experiences in the humanitarian sector fuelled his curiosity for perspectives of regional studies. During his Master's program in African Studies at the University of Leipzig, he focused on debates on knowledge production, political economy, and humanitarian labour. His enthusiasm for international study programmes was shaped particularly by his semesters abroad in Canada and Ethiopia and his work in knowledge transfer. Now, as Student Advisor of the FUBiS team, he is excited to accompany international students on this unique experience.
